This mid-century house in Golden Valley was destroyed by a storm after a large tree crashed through the roof and the house filled with water. The remodel included a new roof, new siding, new decks, bedroom addition and new kitchen and dining room.
This 1950s house that had been remodeled previously, was updated with a colorful and modern look. The green lap-siding and stone was replaced with cedar, blue acrylic and gray cement board siding and the flat roof fascia depth was minimized. A large kitchen window and clerestory windows in the bedrooms were added. On the interior there are new wood floors, paint and textured walls panels on the fireplace. The kitchen has new custom white cupboards, granite countertops and blue display frames hanging in the window to create a floating composition from the exterior.
